Anastasis Koutsogiannis (Crete, Greece) is hatha yoga teacher and specialist in Thai massage (osteo-thai), a former professional dancer of the French ballet and contemporary dance, began his journey into the world of yoga in Varanasi (India) in 1994. Also studied in Mysore with B.N.S. Iyengar and other masters in India, Thailand and Europe, with Richard Freeman in the US, did a number of meditation retreats. He has started Thai massage in Thailand in 1999 at the Old Medecine Hospital. Since then, he practiced with many other teachers, including Pichest Boonthumme, Jack Chayia and the Circus team. He has also assisted different courses in Thai massage and at the Thai Massage Circus.
His approach Anastasis calls «Zorba yoga» – and is a fascinating mixture of asanas and vinyasas, movements from Thai massage, dance movements. Element of improvisation is an important aspect of this practice.
Zorba – cheerful Greek, having at the same time philosophical folk wisdom, the hero of the famous novel by Greek writer Nikos Kazantzakis «Zorba the Greek» (1946), which was loved and often quoted by Osho (who even created coined the term «Zorba the Buddha» – as a combination in one person contemplation and ability to enjoy life).
Anastasis conducts classes in the city of Chania in Crete, as well as traveling around the world with workshops.

Anastasis has not only website, but even a mobile phone. He rides a bicycle and lives in a small house right on the beach, where he swims every morning in all weathers.
